Nothing may be scaled to fit. The festival is set once, at full size, and every format is cut from it.
The whole festival on one 2.7 m sheet at 1:1, and nine formats of their true size to drag over it: A5, A3 and A1, a ticket, a screen, a story, a post, a browser, a lobby banner. Each crop can be saved.
The same sheet at 0.25 mm to the pixel. The page is never laid out for the screen: a wide window sees more, a phone sees part of a letter. Move over it in both directions; the arrow keys move a cell at a time.
Move, never resize. The mark is always 200 mm type, a still always four cells by two. Change the paper and the poster grows round the same things; the printer’s margin cuts in too. The information is always printed whole; the mark and the dates are cut, and underprinted or overprinted.
One line of vinyl at one size, run round all four walls of the lobby at one height. Where there is a door, the entrance or the bar, the band is not there: words turn corners and doors take the middle of them.
The screen is a 480 × 270 mm window on the sheet. The camera never zooms: it pans at a constant speed and cuts before anything is whole. A ten-second ident, and the programme day by day.
The print run cut edge to edge from the sheet, back, spine and front: 24 copies, no two alike, and laid out together they rebuild the sheet. Each prints where it was cut from.
