Pairs / ink gap in cap heights

Kern

The mark as drawn is traced from the artwork, so the numbers below are the real ones: the ink gap between each pair, in cap heights. Reset sets the same words in Frutiger Bold with the spacing under your control. Click between two letters on the canvas to select that pair, then use the kern slider or the arrow keys. Even it out pulls every pair on a line towards the line's median gap, which is the quickest way to see which pairs are doing the damage.
